RESOURCES: FACULTY

The following message about the power shutdown was sent by Dr. Mary Oling-Sisay Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate & Graduate Studies to all Humboldt faculty on Friday, Oct. 25:

Dear Faculty:

We have been informed by PG&E that there will be a power outage as part of a statewide plan by the utility to reduce the risk of wildfire. While the situation remains uncertain, the outage will likely last several days. Campus will be closed as of 9:00 am tomorrow Saturday October 26, 2019 and all classes are cancelled through Monday.

At this time, we are unsure when campus will reopen. Please continue to watch for updates and notifications on the campus closure website page.

We ask that you not require students to submit assignments during the time that campus is closed. This will minimize the stress that our students are experiencing as a result of this power outage.

We appreciate your efforts in supporting our students and thank you for your patience and understanding as we adapt to this fluid situation.

Best,

MOS
